What do you do right after you hit a lob? Do you watch your lob to see if it lands in or out? Do you watch your lob to see if it's short or deep? In this episode of Tennis Quick Tips, we're talking about lobs.  I'll tell you why watching your lob is the exact wrong thing to do.  And I'll tell you what to watch so that you know how good your lob is and what your next shot should be.

What happens when you hit the ceiling in tennis? And I mean literally hit the ceiling with your tennis shot, not just figuratively hit the ceiling in tennis improvement. In this episode of Tennis Quick Tips, we're talking about hitting ceilings, chairs, scoring devices and spectators. Yes, we're talking about permanent fixtures.

Have you ever had an opponent aim a return right at you when you're up at the net? Most of the time, when recreational or club level players are in a match and the net player gets drilled by a return, I think it's probably not intentional.  It's more of an attempt at a down-the-line return gone wrong.  But what if your opponent is really trying to hit you with that return?  In this episode of Tennis Quick Tips, I'll answer a listener's question about this and give some really great options for dealing with this kind of return.

Every year, at the beginning of the new year, I set a few tennis goals for myself - goals that I hope will improve my game and that I want to accomplish in the coming year. I've done this since 2009 and the results have been pretty inconsistent. Some years, I achieve one, maybe even two of my goals. Some years, nothing seems to happen. In this episode of tennis Quick Tips, I'm going to talk about setting tennis goals again and I'm going to give you the tips I'll be applying in 2016 to hopefully do a better job of achieving my goals. And I hope you'll apply these same tips to achieve your own tennis goals.
